What is an avatar?
An avatar is an image that identifies you in the forum area. It can be any image you like as long as it meets the decency requirements in the Terms Of Service that you agreed to when you signed up. Some people like to use their own photograph, others just pick something that represents their interests or that they find amusing.
How do I use an avatar?
Simply open your user profile by clicking on your name in the upper right corner of the page. Select the "Avatar" tab and browse your computer for the image you wish to upload. Make sure you click the "Update" button and then click "Save Changes." You can also type in a link in the URL field if you use something like Image Shack to host your images.
Important: Your image should be 80 x 80 pixels in size. You can use any photo editing program you wish to adjust the dimensions.
After you have saved your new avatar, it will be displayed next to your name in your posts in the forum area.
